ANDY NICHOLS

ANDY NICHOLS is a contemporary glass artist based in the Pacific Northwest, widely recognized for his luminous blown-glass creations and intricate marine-themed artwork.

ROOTS AND INSPIRATION: A native Oregonian, Andy grew up exploring various art forms before discovering a deep passion for glass. Living and working in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, based in The Dalles, Oregon, his work is inspired by the natural beauty of the region.

A SIGNATURE FOCUS ON AQUATIC LIFE: He is particularly known for his vibrant, glass-fused and blown-glass fish (such as salmon and trout) and abstract representations of sea life. Andy’s pieces often feature striking, blazing color combinations designed to mimic fluid motion and the play of light through water.

CAREER PIVOT: Andy spent two decades working in the restaurant industry before deciding to pursue glassblowing full-time and open his own professional studio.
